There are moments in life when everything feels dry. Stagnant. Like we’re walking through a wilderness with no clear direction, or stranded in a desert with no relief in sight. But right in the middle of that, God speaks: “Behold, I am doing a new thing.”


This is not a vague spiritual platitude. It’s a declaration of transformation, hope, and purpose—spoken by the God who specializes in impossible landscapes.





🛤️ A Way in the Wilderness



Wilderness in Scripture often symbolizes confusion, hardship, or wandering. Maybe you’ve been in a wilderness season—feeling like you’re just surviving, not thriving. Doors are shut. Prayers seem unanswered. Progress feels impossible.


But God doesn’t leave us in that place.


When He says He’s making a way in the wilderness, it’s not just about direction—it’s about presence. He’s carving out a path where none existed. His guidance doesn’t come after we get our lives in order—it comes in the middle of the mess.

Rescued, Jeremiah faces Zedekiah again. The king, torn between fear and a desire for truth, seeks a private word. Jeremiah stands firm: surrender to Babylon, or face destruction. Zedekiah, paralyzed by fear of his court, begs secrecy, revealing his tragic flaw—he knows the truth but lacks the resolve to act.

Jeremiah 38 challenges us to emulate the prophet’s courage, speaking truth despite opposition. Ebed-Melech’s compassion urges us to act boldly to help those in need, trusting God to work through us.
