The Ant and the Grasshopper

Once upon a time, there lived an ant and a grasshopper. The ant was a hardworking creature, always busy collecting food for the winter. The grasshopper, on the other hand, loved to sing and dance all day long. One hot summer day, the grasshopper saw the ant gathering food and asked, "Why are you working so hard? Come, let's enjoy the sunshine and sing and dance together." The ant replied, "I can't waste time enjoying the sun and singing because I have to prepare for the winter. If I don't collect enough food, I will go hungry and might not survive." The grasshopper laughed and said, "Winter is still far away. You have plenty of time to collect food. Come, let's enjoy the summer." So the grasshopper enjoyed the summer days and nights, singing and dancing. Meanwhile, the ant worked hard, collecting grains and storing them for the winter. One day, winter arrived, and the cold winds blew. The grasshopper was hungry and couldn't find any food. He went to the ant and asked for some food. The ant asked, "Why should I give you food when you didn't prepare for the winter? You were just singing and dancing while I was working hard to store food." The grasshopper realized his mistake and promised never to be lazy again. From that day forward, he worked hard in the summer to prepare for the winter. The moral of the story is that hard work pays off in the long run, and it's important to plan for the future.
